  1. A memorable performance by a great talent who has matured quite late by women’s standards. A lot of us in the game know that the Asians are coming, which is great as far as I am concerned, and she is going to be just the first I think. The Chinese the Japanese and the Thais have a lot of good young players. Perhaps now we will see some dignity and respect on the court instead of some of the things we have seen in the last few years. Well done China!

Na Li is a star whe´s the best example that you can start later on in yr life with top sport.. I might give it a shot & unpack my tennis skirt LOLzz used to hit the ball against the wall pretty good & once took a course back home in Czech Rep. it was at a picturesque lake, trainer was 73 yfrs old fit best way to stay healthy

  11. Congrats to Li, but really it’s very shocking that she could win a slam earlier than those so-called “former No.1s” like JJ, Safina and the hot C-Woz. Women’s tennis is joke but at the same time is more unpredictable than men’s.

I wanted to start filming a sec earlier, just missed it.. the ball that Francesca complained about, the one that chair umpire decided against her (..pity there´s no hawk-eye @ RG..).. as of that moment it went balistic.. pity there was no 3rd set.. Francesca was diplomatic about that critical umpire decision (pity the ball was not played over).. I can´t say I´m no hawk-eye I have to zoom in when watching my TV screen
